What a Day

It's amazing what 24 hours will do for your out look on life! Yesterday while I was frantically searching my studio for my embossing powder I pulled my center desk drawer and all of it's contents out on the floor! Originally it had been relatively organized...alas no more! The best I could do was pick it all up and throw it back in the baskets and stick it all back in the drawer...no time to re-organize...I had to go to work. Argggg! Last night when I got home from work...when I was much more calm of course I remembered where the embossing powder was....finally I was able to finish my layout this morning. It's a great picture of the four of us from last May.....I am so happy with it and a lot less stressed than I was 24 hours ago! Ah...what a difference a day makes!

A Magical Evening
Ok so this photo isn't from this evening....in fact much to the shock of my family I left the camera at home tonight when we ventured out to Disneyland to watch the fireworks. That's the beauty of having passes this year....we can go for just a couple of hours, have some fun and then come home. We had tried earlier in the week to go and see the fireworks but alas Disneyland isn't running on summertime hours anymore so the park was closed....I didn't even think to check until we were almost there...OOPS. Anyway we went over there tonight and arrived just in time to find a good spot to watch the amazing fireworks spectacular that Disneyland is known for. Normally I am not a huge fan of fireworks but between the music and the fireworks, tonight I was totally caught up in the whole thing it was definitely magical. After it was over we road Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster, had some yummy ice cream and then came home...it was a great family evening.

WOW.... Twice in one day!
Thanks to the wonderful Miss Holly I now have music on my blog....I totally jacked her play list...with her permission of course! ;) Thanks sweetie! So enjoy everyone.
What a Way to Start the Day
My computer went up in a puff of smoke this morning! I hope Cliff can fix it when he gets home! In the mean time I decided to get on his computer and do a little blog surfing.....and lo and behold I find a new blogger posting on my blog....I was thrilled to see a post by none other than Holly....Jeremy's amazing girlfriend! It was so cool to read her blog and see pictures of "our" missionary there. Some were new to me others I had seen before. Her blog looks amazing makes mine look rather sad....I think Holly needs to hook me up with her cousin that did it for her cuz she did an awesome job! I also totally love her play list....I just have to figure it all out and put one on here too! I think I would be totally happy with HER play list! She has lots of Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban on it.....I knew I liked this girl!
It's been a busy week....Jason's 16th birthday was Monday. We had a video game/Pizza party with a bunch of his friends all afternoon. It was lo key but really fun. I would post a picture or two but they are on my computer so that will have to wait....I am sure he won't mind....lol He started Seminary again on Tuesday. He is enjoying his new teacher but I am so not enjoying having to get up early....and then working til 9 most nights.....I guess I will eventually get use to it but at the moment I'm not doing very well.
We got a great email this week from Jeremy....ok so they are great every week cuz I love hearing from him but this week he told me he liked it when I sent him pictures of my scrap pages....does this boy know how to get to my heart or what? He is growing and learning so much. I learn from him with every letter....it's it amazing how you learn from your kids?

It's that time again....

It's been a few weeks since I updated my blog. It's now Labor Day weekend....where has the summer gone? It just doesn't seem possible. We are starting to get Christmas stuff in at work already....the holidays will be here way before I am ready for them I am sure.
Last but not least....even tho the picture isn't that great....I decided to post my cool new "do" Thanks so much Stephanie for making me feel so pretty!

Jason has started back to school (Independent Study) I am so hoping he will step up and do well...I know he hates it when I nag but I so want him to succeed. I got this great picture of him on the first day of school, last Thursday....it's already scrapped...how's that for quick.
We received a memory card with some photos from Jeremy so I have been working on scrapping a few of those as well. There is one really amazing photo of him that I am anxious to scrap but have been having trouble getting it just the way I want it...I seem to be doing that alot lately, especially with photos of Jeremy......not to sure why. I guess I love the photo so much that I really want the layout to be just as amazing as the photo. Hopefully I will have some time in the next couple of days to finish it.
Jeremy received his first transfer in the mission field. He was in Pocatello for about a month when transfers came through...he wasn't expecting to be transfered but he was...he is now in Idaho Falls and loving the work there. His companion is great and he is learning lots. Here's a layout I did of him with his companion in Pocatello.
Jason's Birthday is Monday....he will be 16! Talk about where has the time gone....wasn't he just a little boy not too long ago? So the holiday will be spent celebrating Jason's birthday with a bunch of kids hanging out. playing video games...it out to be a fun day.
Riley, our new little dog is now 4 months old and continues to steal our hearts and crack us up all at the same time. I swear he is so smart he thinks he can talk....he knows what he wants and is pretty darn good at making sure we know what it is that he wants. Tonight he came into my studio and just was barking up a storm at me....like he was trying to tell me something so I got up and followed him and he took me into the kitchen to his food and water dish...they were both empty and he was hungry and thirsty. He did the same thing the other night came in and barked like crazy at me and when I followed him he stood in front of the front door....if he could have handed me the leash I am sure he would have...so off we went for a walk. He really is a fun addition to the family.
This post could not be complete without congratulating my buddies Michelle, Jeri, and Kim over at Scraplove for winning the "Summer of Scraplovin" contest! You guys did a great job! The challenges over there were very serious and I was so glad to be able to participate.
While I am "crowing" for my scrappy friends....I have to give a shout out to Kristin over at Scrapbookdeals4u for her winning layout for the week two challenge of "10 Weeks of Fun". She dis a great job on her layout and her journaling was perfect it totally made me feel like I was there on her vacation with her.
I have included some layouts in this post that are some of my fav's. I have been a busy girl this summer between DT responsibilities and a contest I was in I have a whole bunch of pages to put away! Why is that always my least favorite thing to do?
I love this one of Holly! She is Jeremy's girlfriend and I think she is just the best. (No Holly I am not trying to suck up...lol) He took this photo of her at the beach when she was visiting before he left on his mission. I know it's one of his favorites and it was just begging to be scrapped. The beautiful paper from the September kit from scrapbookdeals4u was perfect for it. I had a great time scrapping it.
This is one with some photos from Hawaii.....it's simple but I love the way it turned out.
Last but not least....even tho the picture isn't that great....I decided to post my cool new "do" Thanks so much Stephanie for making me feel so pretty!
